In cold-weather climates, the true measure of glass efficiency is found in its ability to capture free solar heat. This performance is known as passive solar heat gain, and it's indicated by a high Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC). Majestic Signature Series Windows use a LowE which is neutral in color, so your sky still looks blue from the inside of your home.

The LowE coating slows the movement of heat from warm to cold, which means more heated air stays inside your home instead of escaping through the windows. This performance is measured by a U-factor - the lower the number, the greater a window's resistance to heat flow and the better its insulating value.
